Description
For older babies – 3 months up to 36 months, the larger HEVEA’s Star & Moon Orthodontic Pacifier offers a unisex moon and star design, made of 100% natural rubber with no artificial colors or baddies – BPA-free, Phthalate-free, and PVC-free. You can rest comfortably knowing that your baby is suckling away on a safe, soft and gentle pacifier. The anatomical and orthodontic shape of the HEVEA Star and Moon Pacifier mimic’s the shape of a mother’s nipple, ensuring that it fits perfectly inside baby’s mouth. The ergonomic butterfly shape gives space for the nose and chin, and the ventilation holes (shaped as cute star and moons) ensures that your baby can breathe easily while using the pacifier. One great feature of the HEVEA Star and Moon Pacifier for babies, 3 months and up, is that its design prevents a vacuum around your little one’s mouth.
What we love about the unique design of this HEVEA pacifier is that it’s made of one-piece. There are no areas, no cracks or joints, where yucky bacteria and dirt can crawl in. Sterilizing is also simple. All you have to do is boil the pacifier in water for five minutes and then let it cool. How simple is that?
The HEVEA – Star & Moon Orthodontic Pacifier for 3 to 36 month old babies is larger than the newborn pacifier.

Why Use Pacifiers?
For the first six months of life, starting at one month, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that parents use pacifiers to prevent the risk of sudden infant death syndrome – or SIDS, the third leading cause of deaths among infants in the United States.
What’s the Difference Between an Orthodontic Pacifier and a Conventional One?
The HEVEA – Star & Moon Pacifier (3-36 Months) is an orthodontic pacifier, which means that it has a flat bottom and rounded top. Traditional nipple pacifiers are rounded in shape. Orthodontic pacifiers are ideal, because the nipple is designed to resemble mother’s nipple, offering the perfect positioning for the baby’s top and bottom jaw to aid in the development in normal jaw growth. Some studies have shown that orthodontic pacifiers reduce the risk of a child developing an open bite or an overbite, when compared to traditional rounded pacifiers. (However, you should discontinue use of a pacifier after age three as this can cause dental problems.)
Can HEVEA Rubber Pacifiers Cause Latex Allergies?
Probably not, since the protein is a naturally occurring substance in latex from the hevea brasiliensis tree. It helps preserve the material in a liquid state to allow HEVEA to work with it. When they process the material to produce their raw rubber pacifiers, much of the latex protein is leeched out. As a result, latex content in HEVEA’s products is extremely low. No allergic reactions to any Hevea products have been received to date but users should note the potential for a latex allergic response.
However, if you have a known family history of latex allergy, you should play it safe.
